chromebook scheme
As UTC Portsmouth uses Google's suite of Education software, all our students require a chromebook. The chromebook and access to Google's suite of education software is deeply embedded in the way the college works and is a vital piece of equipment for every student.
UTC Portsmouth has been using chromebooks and Google Education since we opened our doors in 2017 and due to the pandemic many schools have since been offering their own schemes. If you have a chromebook from a scheme at another school you are welcome to bring it with you to UTC Portsmouth, however you will need to speak to your current school's IT department and ensure it is 'deprovisioned' from their network before it can be brought to UTC Portsmouth.
If you do not already own a chromebook, the college has a chromebook scheme which offers a chromebook with 3 year warranty and accidental damage insurance with no excess and unlimited claims for a very competitive cost which is partly subsidised by the college to bring the cost down as much as possible. After you finish your studies with us, the chromebook is yours to keep.
