Engineering Teacher

Following continued growth, we are seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of Engineering to join our forward-thinking team. The successful candidate will contribute to engineering teaching across Key Stages 4 and 5, including:

  • T Level Engineering, with particular relevance to control, instrumentation, electrical/electronic, maintenance and programmable systems;

  • Cambridge OCR Level 3 Cambridge Advanced National in Engineering; and

  • Cambridge OCR Level 1/Level 2 Engineering courses at Key Stage 4, including Engineering Design, Engineering Manufacture and Engineering Programmable Systems.

We are looking for someone with strong knowledge or experience in one or more relevant engineering areas. These might include control and instrumentation, automation, electronics, electrical engineering, programmable systems, maintenance, manufacturing, CAD/CAM or mechanical engineering.

UTC Portsmouth operates its own Experienced Teacher Scale for qualified teachers. This is a locally determined pay scale, approved by the Board of Trustees, and is separate from the School Teachers' Pay and Conditions Document (STPCD). Progression through the scale is based on the College's Pay Policy and the successful completion of the annual Performance Management Review (PMR) process.

Applicants are not expected to have taught every qualification or possess expertise in every area listed.
