Celebrating mathematical pi! There will be challenges, competitions and insightful sessions for students and those within the community.
Held at Romsey Sports Pavilion - Grange Farm Way. Timings TBC.
A week where we focus on potential career paths for our students. There will be mock interviews for Yr 10 and Yr 12 students, a careers fair and guest speakers to talk about the options and how to explore the next steps available to all students.
Our fieldwork will take place at Juniper Hall in Dorking and will be a one night residential stay to enable students to complete both the physical and human fieldwork element. The trip will encompass the physical element where the focus will be on Rivers.
A challenge for select Year 10 students, to design, develop, build and test a solution to an unknown technical challenge. This event is taking place at Horndean Technology College.
As part of the STEM racing enrichment for Years 10 and 11, an opportunity to experience a professional motorsport facility and understand its day-to-day operations.
This event will take place at Goodwood Motor Circuit, Chichester.

Our very own Comic Con - celebrating everything fandom! Whether it’s Sci Fi, Fantasy anything in between, this is a week to share what we love. There will be events throughout the week for students and the wider community to participate in, and (of course) our annual Comic Con cosplay day!

A week for all the new Year 10s joining us in September 2026. This will be an opportunity to meet with students, speak to teachers and sample what a week is like at UTC Portsmouth.
3 days for our students to be off timetable and working on projects focused around our 6 STEM habits.
There will be an exhibition to showcase the work on the Friday afternoon, open to all parents and guardians.
Open to Year 11 and Year 13 students - an opportunity to learn how to ski.

Launch event for all Year 12 students taking part in the IRIS Multi-messenger research project., taking place at the University of Portsmouth. This will support students in the conduct of their project, providing background information and training on the software they will use. Students will also have the opportunity to learn about analysing data from the Gravitational Waves Transient Observer.
UTC Portsmouth will be sharing stories from alumni who are in apprenticeships, as well as providing talks and sessions to help those applying, or thinking of applying.
Originating as a Czech competition, the Cambridge Chemistry Race is organised with the support of the Department of Chemistry, University of Cambridge. Selected teams from years 12 and 13 will be competing.
Students will be transported to Gunwharf using the College minibuses.
Our annual awards evening to celebrate the successes achieved by our students. Held at the HMS Nelson Wardroom. This event is voted for by our staff and students, and is by invitation only.
For all students (across Years 10 - 13) who are part of the robotics enrichment. Students will be taking their constructed robot to Brighton College to test in the ‘Decode Challenge’ in a friendly scrimmage with other FIRST UK robotics teams.
For 12/13iTO2 students part of the Project Pipeline training group. To present project work with Cytiva and get an appreciation of how the curriculum content applies in the real world of engineering.
The Chemistry in Action event provides a day of exhilarating chemistry, which will take students from key concepts learnt in the classroom to the latest advancements in chemical research. Through five engaging sessions, students will meet experienced scientists from academia and industry and be inspired to become the scientists of the future.
It also includes a special session on examination success that will ensure students are equipped with the tools they need to excel. There will be plenty of interactivity throughout the day, with polls, quizzes, and the chance to question the scientists.

Our Sixth Form rugby team has a joint practice session with Unites Services Ruby at HMS Temeraire.
A week all centred around the destinations our students can head to following their time at UTC Portsmouth.
As well as guest lectures, there will be a Destinations Fair with our Employer Partners, and mock interview sessions.
