English Teacher and 2019 teaching vacancies
We are looking for a teacher of English to join our special team commencing in January 2019 or sooner.
We are also seeking teachers of Computer Science, Chemistry/Science Generalist, Maths and English for September 2019. We may, in certain circumstances and to the right candidate, offer an appropriate recruitment allowance.
As Portsmouth is an eligible local authority, teachers of Chemistry and Computer Science may be eligible for reimbursement of student loans via the Department for Education scheme. Please visit the DfE website or ask us for more details.
UTC Portsmouth operates a ‘business day’. This is slightly longer than most school days in order for students to experience as close to a full working day as possible. The advantage for students and teachers alike is a much healthier work-life balance. During the day, students have additional independent study time and teachers have more than the usual PPA time.
We are looking for a cleaner to support with the smooth day to day operation of the college by ensuring that the cleanliness and hygiene standards of the college buildings, infrastructure and site are to a high standard compliant with legislation and college policies.

The Board of Trustees is keen to recruit another Parent Trustee (governor). Currently the Board is well represented from our engineering and other industry partners but we are keen to improve the diversity of the Board, so would be especially interested to hear from parents who can add new, different and complementary skills and experiences. If you think you could contribute to help us drive the UTC forward, please contact Kim Lea, Clerk to the Trustees (email@example.com ) to request an application form.
The full Board of Trustees meets 6 times per year, plus approximately 3 committee meetings, and an occasional ad-hoc meeting. We believe the opportunity to be a Trustee at the UTC is interesting, rewarding and important.
Parent Trustees vacancies are required to be filled by election and all parents and Guardians are entitled to stand as a candidate and vote in the election.
If you are interested and would like to make a difference, please contact Kim Lea (firstname.lastname@example.org). The closing date for receipt of applications will be January 31st 2019.
