Having recently secured planning permission, the college will shortly embark on a construction project to provide a 150m2 extension over three floors.
The extension will add:
A fitness suite / gym
Available to all years for their PE lessons as an alternative to our Sports Hall
Plans are to make this available to sixth form students outside of lessons
A community room
A space for employer interactions and presentations interactions
A bookable space for primary and secondary school STEM outreach to minimise room disruption for UTC Portsmouth students
A sixth form quiet study area
A dedicated quiet study space for exclusive use by sixth form students
Ambient lighting, charging spaces and PC access for a comfortable study experience
It is anticipated that work will be completed for the start of the next academic year.
