UTC Portsmouth students celebrate another strong set of GCSE results

Students at UTC Portsmouth are celebrating their GCSE results today, with outcomes once again in line with the college’s consistently high standards.

UTC Portsmouth is proud to mark yet another strong set of results this year, with our diligent students achieving grades in line with previous years. Mathematics and Engineering stand out as areas of particular strength, reflecting the college’s continued focus on STEM education.

This year, students managed to exceed the already high volume of grade 7 and above results, with a 10% increase on the previous year. Girls at UTC Portsmouth also performed particularly well, with 25% achieving grade 7 or above – reflecting the college’s ongoing commitment to bridging the gender gap and supporting women in STEM.

James Doherty, Principal at UTC Portsmouth, said:

“This year’s GCSE results once again highlight the dedication of our students and staff and it is fantastic to see an increase in the number of students achieving grade 7 or above. These results are a credit to the hard work of our students and staff, and continue to demonstrate the strength of our STEM-focused education.”
