Wow - what an incredible afternoon!
The UTC Portsmouth Summer Showcase Exhibition was the perfect celebration of creativity, teamwork, and innovation. For two and a half days, students stepped away from their usual timetable to take part in an exciting range of hands-on activities led by our talented staff.
From book binding and tank battling to recycled clothing design, a UTC Portsmouth student band, a video production project, and even a life-sized periodic table, the variety of workshops on offer ensured there was something to spark every interest.
Despite having less than three days to work on their projects, the results were nothing short of remarkable. Students worked in new teams, often collaborating for the first time, to design, build, and present their creations. Along the way, they demonstrated all six of our STEM habits - resilience, creative problem-solving, teamwork, responsibility, communication skills, and curiosity.
Walking through the exhibition, it was impossible not to feel inspired. Every display, performance, and prototype showcased the skill, imagination, and dedication of our students. Their ability to pull together such high-quality work in such a short time is a clear sign of the bright futures ahead of them.
Well done to every student who took part - you’ve made us all here at UTC Portsmouth proud!
