Students at UTC Portsmouth are celebrating their GCSE results today, with overall attainment remaining above the national average for the fourth consecutive year.
The results continue UTC Portsmouth’s record of strong academic outcomes alongside its specialist STEM education. Over half of students achieved a grade 5 or above in both English and maths, giving them access to a wider range of destinations, while three quarters of students left with a grade 4 or above in both subjects, significantly above the national average.
The college’s share of top grades (7, 8 and 9) remains strong, with notable high grades in physics, mathematics, English language, geography, and Engineering.
James Doherty, Principal at UTC Portsmouth, said:
“We are incredibly proud of what our students have achieved. To remain above the national average for a fourth consecutive year demonstrates the consistently high standards our students and staff work towards every day.
“We have also seen excellent performance across our specialist STEM subjects. These results give our students a strong foundation for the next stage of their education and future career paths.”
Congratulations to all of our students!
